England v Germany 7th October 2000, Wembley (WCQ)

The last ever England game at the old Wembley was memorable for all the wrong reasons....

Miserable rain, miserable performance and the added joy of seeing Keven Keegan's last game in charge (he resigned after the game). World Cup 2002 qualifying off to the worst possible start.

need this...

France v England 2nd September 2000, Paris (friendly)

My first England away game was the short hop over to the Stade de France just outside Paris. I travelled on the official EMC coaches from Victoria with my mate Matt Evans. We spent the day in central Paris before heading back out to the ground. Great seats high up behind the goal. A late equalizer from Michael Owen got England a 1-1 draw. Also saw the World Cup as it was being paraded by the French team along with their recently won Euro 2000 trophy.

England v Ukraine 31st May 2000, Wembley (friendly)

My first England win... and also my 1st experience of a half empty Wembley! England won 2-0.

England v Brazil 27th May 2000, Wembley (friendly)

After my first game against Argentina, I completed the South America powerhouse set by seeing Brazil in my next game. This was a saturday game in front of a pretty much sold out crowd. It finished 1-1. This was the first of a couple of games warming up to Euro 2000 in belgium/holland.
